K-pop star Moon Bin, known by the stage name Moonbin, has tragically passed away at the age of 25, as confirmed by his management agency Fantagio on Thursday.

In a Twitter statement, Fantagio expressed that Moon Bin had “suddenly left us and became a star in the sky.” The agency conveyed deep sorrow and shock, mentioning that members of the group ASTRO, fellow Fantagio artists, company executives, and employees are mourning the loss. The statement emphasized Moon Bin’s love for his fans and his significant contributions to the entertainment industry.

Moon Bin, born on January 26, 1998, in Cheongju, North Chungbuk Province, started his career as a child model and actor, appearing in various music videos and TV shows, including the popular KBS drama “Boys Over Flowers.” He joined Fantagio’s training program at a young age and later formed the boy band ASTRO in 2016, gaining success in South Korea and Japan.

The talented artist, also the brother of K-pop star Moon Sua, was found unresponsive in his Gangnam, Seoul, apartment on Wednesday evening. While the police have not officially provided a cause of death, it is believed to be suicide. Moon Bin was set to host an Asia fan con tour in May, which has now been canceled.
